Throughout the month of March, the United States Government and other institutions commemorate and celebrate the vital role of women in American history.
The National Women’s History Alliance, with origins in Santa Rosa, California, as the National Women’s History Project, came up with the idea of celebrating women’s achievements and later convinced the US Congress to formalize Women’s Month and Women’s Day.
This year’s theme is “Celebrating Women Who Tell Our Stories.”
Similarly, but spearheaded but the United Nations, March 8th is all about women across the globe. It is International Women’s Day, and this year’s theme is “DigitALL: Innovation and technology for gender equality,” or #EmbraceEquity
