National Parks offer excellent opportunities to enjoy winter landscapes. Lassen National Park in Lassen County, CA is one of my favorites.
The Visitor Center often gets covered in snow, as seen in this picture, but somehow the park rangers manage to keep it open. It offers information, classes, a store, a coffee shop, and coziness.
Off State Route 36, you may want to put it on your bucket list.
