This is a good opportunity to see the work of contemporary Zapotec artists, like Calixto Robles.



Rufino Tamayo was a Mexican painter of Zapotec heritage, born in Oaxaca.
Tamayo was active in the mid-20th century in Mexico and New York, painting figurative abstraction, with surrealist influences.
He passed away in June 24, 1991.
