Paradise exists in Northern California. The McCloud Falls are a wonder to see any season, but they turn spectacular in winter.

The falls are located 5 miles east of the town of McCloud in Siskiyou County, accesible via highway 89.
There are three falls (the middle falls featured). It is safe to hike on these trails but you may want to bring snow shoes and poles. Please check advisories. The land is managed by the Shasta-Trinity National Forest. Check their website or contact them for further information.
If you go, take the time to remain silent, absorbing the beauty and energy of this natural sanctuary.
