(Film) – A press conference and screening took place Tuesday, June 21, announcing the San Francisco Jewish Film Festival coming up July 21 to August 7.
The films are so good and so are they corresponding awards. A special night has been designated for food and film at the Castro Theater. Berkeley will also host a special night combining humor and the holocaust -what is appropriate and what is not.
And a black & white film and discussion about the Jewish people in Germany.
Other films and docs highlighting Jewish life and identities will be shown in SF, Berkeley, Oakland, Palo Alto, and San Rafael.
ITVS is one of the main partners.
On its 36th year, the SF Jewish Film Festival promises innovation in storytelling, provocative humor, and undoubtedly, a touch of social issues and politics.
Another highlight: 5 Films aimed to move you into action, about gentrification, rape, abortion and other current issues.
Now I have to go. A media screening of The Tenth Man is about to start. This movie tells the story of a man who goes back to Argentina where he grew up, to help his father.
Until next.
