Happy Birthday Emiliano Zapata!
On August 8, 1879 Emiliano Zapata was born in a small town near Cuautla, state of Morelos, Mexico. Zapata was the most important leader for the Mexican Revolution.
He is considered a martyr as he was betrayed and killed a couple of months before his 40th birthday, in 1919. Highly idealist and someone who possessed great charisma, it is said that Zapata has influenced more human rights movements after his death than during his life.
