The way parking tickets are imposed on drivers is wrong. As some local rebels have said, – it is extortion. The big lie is that some of us who get parking tickets are irresponsible, careless bastards. The ugly truth is that we get parking tickets not because we are scofflaws, but because the municipalities have found the easiest way to get high revenue (pardon the abuse of power.) Now at least one bank in America has entered the easy money game by giving tickets to drivers who park in their parking lots on Sundays. – $80 dollars my friends. If you do not pay within 21 days, they double it, triple it, you name it. Who gives them the right to impose parking violation tickets when that is supposed to come from the government? Is the bank getting a percentage of the revenue? If the bank is in fact, partnering with the City to re-establish parking morals, why are they citing on Sundays, the days parking is supposed to be free?
And don’t even let me start talking about the red, yellow, green, and white-painted lines on the edges of the sidewalks, plus the “do not park on Tuesdays & Thursdays from to 3pm,” and so on…
