Geppetto Learns From Pinocchio – Trailer

Geppetto, the beloved character in Pinocchio, learns from the wooden boy that he is loved unconditionally, while Pinnochio comes to terms with who he is and does not need to change to be loved. The animated musical by Guillermo del Toro provides a new look into the characters of this classic tale; as Del Toro says, “It is a tale about love.”

The film has created a buzz for months as people around the world awaited its release on the popular platform Netflix. The film was finally released on December 9, 2022.

In this stop-motion film, the voice of Geppeto is by actor David Bradley. Pinnochio’s voice is young actor Gregory Mann. Pinocchio is produced by del Toro, The Jim Henson Company’s Lisa Henson, ShadowMachine’s Ale Bulkley and Corey Campodonico, and Exile Entertainment’s Gary Ungar; it is co-produced by Blanca Lista of The Jim Henson Company and Gris Grimly. Other credits include production supervisor Melanie Coombs, co-production designers Guy Davis and Curt Enderle, animation supervisor Brian Hansen, puppet supervisor Georgina Hayns, director of photography Frank Passingham, art director Rob DeSue, and animatic editor Ken Schretzmann.
