A Writer is a Writer

“You see, in my view, a writer is a writer not because she writes well and easily, because she has amazing talent, because everything she does is golden. In my view a writer is a writer because even when there is no hope, even when nothing you do shows any sign of promise, you keep writing anyway.”

    1. Hi James,
I write often, and it is an act of faith and a need to express. My native language is Spanish and so I sometimes write in Spanisha and other times I write in English -this is the language I’ve been using the most for the last many years.
When I was 10 or so, I began writing thoughts or poems. Years later I had to write a lot because I worked as a journalist. But for the last years or so I write when I can or I feel like that. I hope it makes sense. lol
The quote isn’t mine, by the way. I hope you noticed the quote is from Junot Diaz. But when I saw it the other day, it hit me. It resonated with me deeply and so I posted it.
How about yourself…How long have you been writing, and why?

      1. I have been wriiyng since 2016. I started my blog after returning home from USA. Now I am looking to grow it and gain followers to promote interesting stories from the Centrwl Asia and the Middle East. I find internationla politics very interesting and I find most news channels are too filtered and misleading. I have been discovering new writers recently nad aiming to connect with similar minds on wordpress. Keep up your blog its very good. Reading and wriitng are great bways to learn and express ideas. It also gives the writer total control of what they want to achieve. Its cool.
