Frida Kahlo’s Most Cherished Possessions at the De Young Museum in San Francisco.

A popular cultural icon and one who lived ahead of her time, Frida Kahlo is known and admired worldwide. The painter, feminist and wife of muralist Diego Rivera left a legacy.

She was born and raised in Mexico. The first place outside of her country was San Francisco. now the De Young Museum brings us the “Appearances Can Be Deceiving,” exhibit, presenting to the public Frida’s cherished items and memories.
