January 15, 2024, is a holiday in the United States, honoring civil rights champion, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. His courage, charisma, and leadership helped him lead the civil rights movement for racial equality, in the 1960s, in the United States.
MLK was born on January 15, 1929. He was murdered on April 4, 1968. His non-violent activism brought him worldwide attention. He won the Nobel Prize at age 35. His “I Have Dream” speech, is considered one of the most powerful speeches of the 20th Century.
He was eloquent and able to persuade and move the masses. Several of his public statements are considered some of the best quotes to inspire others.
