Racial Resentment

RACIAL RESENTMENT – David C. Wilson, Dean of the Goldman School of Public Policy @UC Berkeley gave a lecture about racial resentment and how structural racism is not the major factor challenging the status quo on opportunities for African Americans. I took from his lecture that it is each one of us who, by inaction, impedes change. We may think and feel antiracism, but our lack of action and involvement demonstrate the opposite. And the root of this may be that we may be deeply resentful of other races, particularly African Americans.

Here is the link to the one-hour talk. Dean Wilson was invited to give this lecture at the last class at UC Berkeley by Prof. Robert Reich, who is a former US Secretary of Labor.
