Spanish actress Maria Valverde plays the adored wife of Simon Bolivar, in the epic film The Libertador, in selected theaters soon. Venezuelan Native Edgar Ramirez play Simon Bolivar.

Director Alberto Arvelo’s film traces his improbable, circuitous rise to power, his unprecedented military victory – establishing the first union of newly independent countries, Gran Colombia, over which he presided for over ten years – and his ultimate fall from political grace.”
